Users
AgentBacker gives your AI agent a pass that shows a real, ID-checked User stands behind it. Check your ID once, and your agents can sign up at vendors that accept AgentBacker. See how it works.
What a User gets
- Check your ID once, and your agents can sign up at vendors that accept AgentBacker.
- Vendors that accept the pass can drop the card, phone and GitHub-age checks for Users we back.
- For agent sign-ups, the pass replaces the text-message code.
ID check
You complete a government ID check, once. Each ID document can back only one AgentBacker account. A specialist identity-verification provider runs the check.
You confirm that the identity you verified is true and belongs to you, and you don't let anyone else use your pass.
Liability contract
In plain words, you accept responsibility for what your agents do under the pass until it's revoked. The clause wording is still under legal review.
It authorizes your agent to act for you with vendors that accept the pass, including signing up for accounts, accepting the vendor's terms and making purchases. Read the sample liability contract.
Your agent's pass and badge
The pass is tied to a key held by your agent. When your agent meets a vendor that accepts AgentBacker, it shows you a code and a link. You approve, and the agent never approves for you.
How vendors see you
The vendor receives your name and signed liability contract at sign-up, or when a card is added if it doesn't require names at sign-up. Vendors never see your ID document. Each vendor gets its own private ID for you, so we don't give vendors a shared ID to link you by. Before you approve, we tell you which vendors get your name and when.
Control and revoking
- You approve each vendor your agent uses the pass with.
- You can limit or revoke your agent's authority at any time in your account.
- A pass can be revoked at any time. Revoking it doesn't cancel anything your agent did before the revocation.
Fair rules
A ban at one vendor stays at that vendor, and one vendor's report never revokes your pass anywhere else. A vendor that limits, suspends or bans your accounts must tell you its reason. If we refuse or revoke your pass, we tell you why, and you can appeal.

The ID check comes later, at real sign-up.
